Scylla Biotech at the Final Meeting of Spoke 6 – RNA Drug Development
In January 2026, Scylla Biotech took part in the scientific meeting of Spoke 6 – RNA Drug Development of the National Center for Gene Therapy and RNA-based Drugs, held at the CNR Research Area in Naples, Italy.
The meeting brought together researchers from universities, research institutes, and companies involved in the national program funded by PNRR – NextGenerationEU, with the goal of presenting the results achieved and discussing future directions in the field of RNA-based therapeutics.
During the event, the progress of the FRAIR project (Frammenti Ricombinanti AntI-RNA) was also presented. Developed by Scylla Biotech in collaboration with the University of Messina, the project focuses on generating recombinant antibodies capable of selectively recognizing modified antisense oligonucleotides (ASO-PS). The project was presented by Francesco Coppolino, research fellow at the University of Messina and collaborator in the FRAIR project on behalf of Scylla Biotech.
The meeting was an important opportunity for scientific exchange and for strengthening collaborations in the rapidly evolving field of RNA-based therapeutic technologies.
