Success at BioSymp UniMe 2025: Young Researchers in the Spotlight!
The international symposium BioSymp UniMe 2025, held on June 4–5 at the University of Messina, brought together researchers to discuss the design and modeling of bioactive agents for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. The event was marked by active participation, high scientific value, and a strong sense of community.
We are proud to announce that Dr. Alessia Berbiglia received the Best Oral Presentation Award for her outstanding talk on the development of an intracellular biosensor based on recombinant single-chain antibody fragments (scFv)for monitoring chemically modified antisense oligonucleotides (ASO-PS). A well-deserved recognition of her dedication and research excellence!
Special thanks also go to Federica Grasso, who presented a rational approach to the design of ASOs targeting caspase-8, aiming to enhance neutrophil immune responses during bacterial infections.
📸 Some highlights from the symposium include the award ceremony, scientific sessions, and moments of exchange among researchers and colleagues passionate about scientific discovery.
The success of this event once again reflects the synergy between Scylla Biotech S.r.l. and the University of Messina, through the work of young scientists engaged in cutting-edge biotechnology and translational research.
